We were thrilled by the architectural design work on our home extension undertaken by David Barr and his team at Cast Studio .Case Studio has a strong planning and design process and keeps clients engaged and informed in every aspect of the project. The team successfully translated our rough ideas into beautiful and leading architectural plans. We were also extremely impressed by how well David worked through the at times complex Council approval processes in the heritage area where our house is located (Subiaco). We found David and his team very thoughtful in working with us and very talented in all aspects of architectural design.

I would love to work on another project with David, Dennis & team. 5 stars to Burgio Construction too, selected through the tender process with Cast.I’m in love with our home, it’s a light filled peaceful and artistic sanctuary and an outstanding example of indoor outdoor living.The Cast Studio website and Insta will show you what architectural features and design you can expect. This is what was also important for us:- It was a simpatico relationship, we felt like we were all on the same page with our ideas.- David and co are keen listeners and this is reflected in the design down to the last detail.- It’s not cheap, it’s not quick and schedules don’t always go to plan - that goes with the territory. We lived onsite during the 12mth+ renovation period. So it is important to have clear communicators and good client service. We knew what was going on and our expectations were well managed, so we were very satisfied with the whole process.

We went on a 3 year journey with David and the team at Cast studio to transform our home in West Leederville with a thoughtful renovation. They brought both practical knowledge and creative flair to the table. The renovation hit every point on our brief and we are delighted with the end result. Cast designed and helped manage a second story addition to our home.David was fantastic to work with from project conception to completion. He was calm and always helped to solve any problems that came up along the way. Our original builder went bankrupt which was incredibly stressful and David helped guide us through the process our filing insurance paperwork and tendering with new builders.We have now been in our home for 2 years. It is beautiful and functional. It completely fulfilled our brief of connection with our outdoor space and bringing in light.It is so stunning that we have people knocking at our door to get the name of our architect.I highly recommend Cast.

I was extremely satisfied with the feasibility advice and concept designs provided by David Barr Architects for a commercial redevelopment. What I really admire is their commitment to sustainability and heritage values, and their responsiveness to the creative ideas and budget of the client. I definitely hope to work with David and team in the future.

This review is well overdue to say the least. However, it probably carries more weight as it hasn't been written in the immediate honeymoon period" where everything is likely to be unrealistically fantastic. However

We have contacted the Cast studio agency for a renovation & extension project in a heritage listed house.Their professionalism and determination to achieve what we wanted was a great help.We recommend this agency and will not hesitate to call on if we have a new project.
